Face-to-face Video Conferences are Available

Telehealth — Video Conferencing or Telephone Session

You can meet with a counselor right away.  You don’t have to wait til “heaven only knows” how long to talk to someone.  We have incorporated the use of video conferencing and telephone session for providing the support and guidance through this difficult time.

Family Tensions, Anxiety, Depression & Raw Emotions

Although we might have a little distance due to the technology, the care and concern for each of our clients grows even stronger.  This is an unprecedented time for everyone.  Fortunately, with the use of the latest technology we can meet with you right there in the safety of your home. (The law requires that you, the client, must be in the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of the meeting.)

Even when you feel trapped in your own home counseling is available for additional support and encouragement.   Being there with your family, you’re reminded of the crazy things your spouse or children do that pushes you to the brink of breaking?

If you tend to be anxious,  feeling trapped and the added stress of the uncertainty of this virus and “what’s next?”, only raises your anxiety to new levels of discomfort.

We’re told to stay away from everyone.  If you normally feel isolation, this “social distancing” would magnify those feelings of alienation.

If you have a propensity to feeling depressed, this time physical limitations and restrictions of freedom can aggregate and deepen the feelings of being trapped.  You find yourself dealing with regrets for not being more open to express your love for those you care about and are now isolated from them?

Now, more than ever if you’re struggling with emotions that are making your life an even greater challenge to live, this would be the perfect time to benefit from the care and support of Virginia Center for Family Relations professional counselors.  Our counselors, men and women, know how come along side you with compassion and a genuine understanding and skills to address these very raw emotions.

Call to Schedule an Appointment Today

You don’t have to wait until we get the “all clear” signal to speak to a counselor.  Now you’re bored out of your tree is the perfect time to call Virginia Center for Family Relations.  We have counselors available to meet with you and provide the emotional support to get through this tough time.  With the use of the latest technology, our counselors can video conference in a confidential system that is fully HIPAA compliant.  The Commonwealth of Virginia requires that the client be physically in the state of Virginia at the time of the “telehealth” counseling session.

Since this health crisis began, most insurances do cover video conferencing (also called telehealth) for mental health counseling.  For some people, they would like to keep the insurance out of their personal business and they are more comfortable with self-pay.  Please call our offices in Charlottesville 434 973-5640 or our Staunton office at 540 885-3481 and speak to one of our helpful administrative staff to answer any questions you have and get an appointment scheduled.  8 to 4, Monday through Friday, we are open and you can actually speak to a live person.
